Alright lads,

I were having a proper good kip before but I got woke up and asked to write a blog post about something that just happened.

The University of Huddersfield emailed us to say that they won a Bronze Award for ‘Aliens in the Hud’ in the CASE Circle of Excellence Awards, which are the worldwide HE marketing awards.

They were the only UK uni to have won anything in the ‘Best Uses of Social Media’ category, and the others five were massive American jobbies like Princeton and Columbia University (see below). Everyone’s well chuffed to be mixing it up on an international stage.

Gold Awards

Augustana College (Ill.)- A Good Fit

Columbia University (N.Y.) – Columbia Giving Day

Silver Award

Hobart and William Smith Colleges (N.Y.) – Quake on the Lake

Bronze Awards

Johns Hopkins University (Md.) – Gun Policy Summit

Live Coverage

Princeton University (N.J.) – Alumpics 2012

University of Huddersfield (United Kingdom) – Aliens in the Hud

Well in lads. Now see if you can score a gold with ‘The Conversation’.

Hopefully our work won’t win any more awards today so I can get a decent bit of kip.

Cheers lads.
